No Time

Tue Nov 27, 2007, 9:37 PM
I don't have that much time right now, too much stuff to do so I don't have that much time to draw.

I am playing 聖なるかな (Seinarukana: The Spirit of the Eternity Sword 2) right now. You can watch the trailer here: [link]
This game is taking much more time than I thought because my Japanese isn't that good and the game is really long, although it's fun =D.

I still need to play うみねこのなく頃に Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (When the Seagulls Cry). This is the third series by 07th expansion, the group who made Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai. This time the game is staged at Rokkenjima in the year 1986. The head of the Ushiromiya is dying and the family has gathered to discuss how his assets will be divided. People start to die one after another due to mysterious circumstances. The goal is the figure out whether the deaths are caused by a person or supernatural power. This game sounds awesome right off the bat because Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni was really good and I love mysteries =D. So far only 2 scenarios are out right now, Legend of the Golden Witch and Turn of the Golden Witch.

I'm also looking for the PC version of this game 魂響 ~御霊送りの詩~ (Tamayura).
The PS2 OP is here: [link]
This game is made by AKABEiSOFT, a really good company who also made 車輪の国、向日葵の少女 (Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo).
Another game I need to play is Fortune Arterial, by August, also another really good game company. I just got it but haven't started to play it yet.

I'm still reading Fate/Zero Volume 2, although I haven't read it in a while, and the final volume of the novel is out. I also found the Fate/Zero soundtrack, which was pretty interesting. I need to read Kara no Kyoukai afterwards because I heard that it's better than Tsukihime and Fate/stay Night.

I am watching Kaiji, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Clannad, Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, and H2O - Footprints in the sand right now. Clannad, Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, and H2O are all visual novels. I have them but I haven't played them yet.
I haven't finished watching ef- a fairy tale of two and Shakugan no Shana II yet either.
Other animes that I haven't watched yet are Kaze no Stigma, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Hayate no Gotoku, Shakugan no Shana Movie, Prism Ark, Zero no Tsukaima: Futatsuki no Kishi, Seirei no Moribito, and many others...

Wow, you're so busy! :D

Hehe yea I have a lot of stuff to do so I'm gonna have to drop some of the anime =(.
:iconfelixkilldeer:
Yaaaay! I'm not the only person in the world who plays game sin Japanese! I was beginning to worry

I think I might order a copy of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni from paletweb at some point... But then again, my copy of Higurashi Daybreak hasn't even arrived yet, so maybe I should play that first XD

Have you read any of the Zetsubou Sensei books? They're a little hard, because of the densely-packed page setup and, well, the puns, but even for the art alone they're worth it :)

Heh, a lot of people play Japanese games...even those who don't know Japanese. They use Atlas and other translation programs to read, although the translation is pretty bad sometimes. I use it all the time cuz my Japanese isn't that good =D

I have both Higurashi Daybreak and Higurashi Daybreak Kai. I haven't played either yet though cuz I don't have any time with tests and other stuff.

I've seen the first season of Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei and read up to volume 8 so far I think. I like the manga, it's really good. I think everyone's name in the story is a pun. I get all the names of the Itoshiki's family but some names I don't get, like some of the students. My favorite manga is Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo. I've read like the whole series and have almost every volume of the manga so far ^^.

Haha, yeah, I imagine a lot of people do play them... But I never meet them. Like, talking to my friends and acquaintances, they'll ask me what I do for fun, and I'll say something along the lines of "Oh, I play a lot of video games and watch anime and draw and that sort of thing" and they'll say "What kind of video games?" and I say "I play a lot of RPGs and that sort of thing in Japanese--You know, like Seiken Densetsu."
...And I get weird looks XD

Yeah, I'm fairly sure that everyone's names are puns...
Some of them took forever for me to get... Like Fujiyoshi Harumi XD

Heh, same here. Most of my friends don't play Japanese games because they don't know Japanese. However, a few of them do watch anime. On the other hand, most of the games that I play are Japanese games. The game that I'm playing right now, 聖なるかな, is a RPG game. I also like to play Touhou games because they're short and fun =D

Haha, yeah, unfortunately, the only people I really know who have at least a basic understanding of Japanese don't really play games XD

I like to play Japanese games because it helps me learn Japanese... or is it that I learn Japanese so that I can play Japanese games. Heh, I don't even know anymore XD

But seriously, I think that people don't play Japanese games because they can't fully understand the story ^^

Haha, same here--I started learning Japanese because my father is a total otaku and about three months ago I turned into one too. Now it makes my father, my brother, and me. The last bastion is my sister. (Well, and my mother. But I think she's a lost cause as far as otakudom goes.)
So now I study Japanese harder so that I can play all those cool games that never come out in the US and read all those cool manga and watch all those cool anime that are never licensed. Good stuff XD
